The Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2020 has to be cancelled. It is a tough call but with all the uncertain situation of COVID-19 as well has the on-going and changing restriction. This leaves us no choice but to call off the races. In the meantime, we will keep providing Dragon Boat training and different water sport activities and there will be updates soon. Please stay tuned and let us know if you are interested.

Affected by pandemic of COVID-19 in the past few months, Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships has been postponed to 11 Oct 2020. Dragon Boat racing is not only a traditional activity associated with fun, excitement, camaraderie and sportsmanship, it is a ritual that has deep cultural heritage and springs from religious beliefs. It is believed that the rituals can help people to get rid of illness and diseases. It also worships the dragon to hope for better fortune and prosperity. Given that the COVID-19 development in HK is now under control and different leisure and sport activities are gradually resume full service. Unlike the past few decades, we cannot celebrate the Tune Ng Festival by filling the Stanley Main Beach with lovely dragon boaters and spectators this year. Yet, we are eager to keep the rituals and traditions by organizing the LET’S KEEP PADDLING – Bai Sun Parade. We sincerely wish everyone health and the speedy recovery of Hong Kong from the pandemic.

Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2020 will be postponed to 11th October 2020.
A small fun race will be held on 25 Jun 2020, Thursday, (Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships - Let's keep paddling). As part of the dragon boat community, we understand that dragon boat racing has been a valued traditional activity on the Tuen Ng Festival and we are keen on keeping it to honour this special day. We hope that this gives us the chance to have fun together and more importantly to show our care and love to our team that have not been reached and seen for a while in a safe and comfortable condition. To ensure this, the race will be held in accordance with government restrictions and is subject to changes or cancellation in case of an escalation of the COVID-19 situation.

Teams participating in all 3 races, including the Championships, the Warm Up races and the Short Course races, will be enrolled in this event automatically.Teams which has accumulated the highest points from the 3 races will be awarded Sun Life Stanley Dragon Boat Points Series Cup and cash prize.

There will be a Team Manager Meeting on 7th June, 2015 from 17:00 to 18:30 at Stanley Community Hall, so as to help you all to prepare the best for the Sun Life Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2015.
Please make sure the team manager or at least one of the team members will be able to attend since this meeting is really important for your team.
The Meeting will cover topics about new rules, starting procedure, draw, system of play and transport, etc.We will also distribute 3 free brochures and poster to each team during meeting.
