The Stanley Dragon Boat Races are usually held on the festival day proper.

NB 1. Starting from 2002, The Stanley Dragon Boat Assn also stage 2 additional smaller scale events (around 40-75 teams respectively), the "Warm-up Races" and Hong Kong Short Course Races" at Stanley Main Beach in May or June during the race season. [ entry forms ]

NB 2. Usually after the one-day Stanley Dragon Boat Races (Festival Day Proper), the HK International Races, or HK Championships (one-day or 2-date event) will be held at the following weekend (another venue, another date, enquiries: HKDBA)
