Note :
(1) Unless specified, all rules for the mega event as well as terms in the Racing Manual for Tuen Ng Festival also apply to the 2 smaller events, including the Warm-up Races and Short Course Races. Team Managers should download and familiarize with the rules in advance, and ready to attend Team Managers' Briefing (30 min before the first race ) on the day. As endorsed by IDBF and HKDBA, these 2 events automatically are included in the "IDBF Affiliate Festival Scheme", following the inclusion of the Stanley International Festival in 2007. As such or rules and regulation will be close to IDBF requirements. However, please read our news update and race manual for discrepancies which results from the constraints of the organiser.
(2) all genuine out-of-town entries (including Macau and Mainland teams ) can enjoy the privilege of their entry fees waived. Please fill in entry form and contact the secretariat at once.
(3)If your team did not join our International Championship this year, team manager can claim a copy of the Racing Manual (hard copy) before the first race.
(4) This Warm-up Races as well as the Stanley Short Course Races both differ slightly from the mega event of Stanley Tuen Ng Festival championships in terms of rules and format, such as there will only be three groups for entry (Men's, Ladies' and mixed events) without further classification and grading and a shorter course, etc. ) Also 18 paddlers only. Sitting style for paddlers compulsory.
(5)To ease your trouble of sourcing and bringing sun-blocking canopies, the SDBA has stocked some standard 10 feet x 10 feet (3m x 3m) alumnium-frame booth style tents for teams to hire.(Prices differ in various events -HK$500 for the Short Course and Warm-up Races) [ foreign teams will get booths free ]
(6)The Stanley Short Course Race is now affiliate into of the newly established "HK Dragon Boat League" as a leg of the series. The best local team in Men's Gold Cup Final will be invited to take part the HK Dragon Boat Championships (Premier Class) organized byHKDBA in the coming year, with entry fee waived.
