Stanley Dragonboat Short Course Races 2006

Responding to demand, the Stanley Residents Assn , on top of the yearly Tuen Ng Festival championships in June as well as year-round trainings, has endeavored to organize more regular competitions in the year. The captioned event will be staged on 11 June, 2006 (Sunday) at Stanley Main Beach. Please return the entry form promptly by mail with a cheque for the entry fee of HK$2000 ASAP.

This one differs slightly comparing with the mega event of Stanley Tuen Ng championships in terms of rules and format, such as there will only be three groups for entry (Men's, Ladies' and mixed events) without further classification and grading and a shorter 200- meter course, etc. As it is re-scheduled to fall on a day so close to the Tuen Ng Festival this year, a record-breaking turn-out, and large number of cross-district elite entries is expected. You are advised to submit the form at your earliest convenience. Those not receiving our invitation letter are also welcome.

"2006 赤柱龍舟短途賽"

本賽會徇眾要求，除端午正日龍舟競度及展開全年訓練之外，再次加辦更多定期賽事。現定於西歷2006年6月11日〈星期日〉，於赤柱正灘舉行「第五屆赤柱龍舟短途邀請賽」。

本短途賽之賽例與賽制與端午節赤柱龍舟錦標賽(大賽)稍有別，例如只設男子、女子及 混合三組 ，不再分其他組別或級別，賽程僅200米。由於重新擇期後這次比賽與端午節正日賽期接近，預計參加隊伍會創新高，越區參賽的好手踴躍。欲免向隅，懇請提早辦理，盡快下載報名表格及信件，填好並聯同報名費HK$2000以劃線支票寄交本會。如未收到本會邀請函，只需自行下載資料包寄回辦理。 如果新參加、要求賽前練習、安排舵手或有意贊助等，也請儘快與本會秘書處聯絡。到時公眾可免費入場觀賞。

•  Extra event -New boats Launching Ceremony cum Warm-up Races 2006

To celebrate the launching of 8 new dragon boats, the SDBA is organizing a special ceremony cum warm up competition on  Monday 1st May, 2006 ( Labour Day public holiday) at Stanley Main Beach. This ad hoc smaller event and the Short Course Races at Stanley Main Beach are both staged on top of the mega event at Tuen Ng Festival. We sincerely invite all teams to join and test on the new boats in these races.

 端午以外再加辦「新船下水禮暨熱身賽」及「短途賽2006」

為慶祝本會八艘新龍舟正式啟用，特安排在5月1日勞動節公眾假期於赤柱正灘舉行新船下水禮暨熱身賽。本賽事及赤柱短途賽均為端午節大賽以外加插項目。到時新知舊雨，一律無任歡迎，齊試新船。
